Not really

The post below was an obvious troll. Sweden has mo society for carnivorous plants as far as I know. I don't move to Sweden because unfortunately I can't speak Swedish well.

Not making this post only for trolling so here's a quick photo update of my plants.

My dearest readers. It has been very nice to write about my hobby to all of you but unfortunately I must tell you the following news.

I will move to Sweden in this month to live in Stockholm. I know it doesn't sound like much but I've been asked to join the swedish carnivorous plants association and even become the next secretary of it.

Another thing that I have been asked to do is to change the blog so next blog posts will be all in swedish. I know I may loose some readers because of this but on the other hand I think it will help swedish and finland swedish and maybe norwegian carnivorous plants hobbyists to become as good carnivorous plants growers as I do.

Mina kära läsare. Det har varit jätte trevligt att skriva upp saker av min hobby.

Jag är så jätte glatt av berätta att jag vill flytta till Sverige och bo i Stockholm senare i april. Jag vill också bli medlem och en sekretarare i svensk köttätande vaxt förening.

Den andra saker som har jag frågat av göra är att jag måste byta min boggens språk från engelska till svenska. Jag vetar att några läsare vill sluta att läsa min blog men jag hoppas att byta språk till svenska till hjälpa svenska, finlandsvenska och norska uppfödare av köttätande vaxter bli så god att kultivera köttätande vaxter som jag.

Plants starting to wake up

Howdy! Last week I took my North American plants out of my refrigerator and this is how they look now.

S. psittacina. The second growing point has died but the one left is starting to flower again.



S. purpurea hybrid looks very good at the moment.



S. x readii looks a bit dead but I hope it will fix after it starts to get more light.

I had my 18th birthday earlier in this month and one of my presents came from my sister. An orchid. She said to me that "I don't usually give men flowers but I think I dare to make an exception for you." :D



Nice small Phalaenopsis with leaf diameter about 30 cm. Flowerstalks are about 35 cm high and the color of the flowers is very lovely.

As I've heard you can notice a healthy orchid when you look at its roots. I think This is pretty healthy little plant.

Also my oldest Phal is blooming.



The spring is soon here and it's lovely to get some new plants soon! That's all for now and maybe I will have more flowers for my next blog post.

Utricularia are mostly nice little plants. One problem with them is pots. In Finland it is almost impossible to find very small pots unless you buy dozens of mini cacti and re-pot them into a clay pot and then put the Utricularia in those mini pots like I did with U. tricolor.



But one day I got even a better idea.
